Evelyn Marie Ebey Burkhardt

Evelyn Marie Ebey Burkhardt, 92, of Easley, and wife to the late John Robert Burkhardt, Sr., passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 in her home.
She was born in Canton, OH to the late John Lawrence Ebey and Stella Fyock Ebey. Evelyn graduated from McKinley Senior High School in Canton in 1942. She was a former member of St Paul Catholic Church in Canton before moving to Easley, where she was a member of St Luke Catholic Church since 1997. Evelyn loved to travel and was an active member singing at the Horace Mann Senior Center.
In addition to her parents and husband of 67 years, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul B. Burkhardt; a daughter, Teresa B. Burkhardt; eight brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are four sons, John R. Burkhardt, Jr., of Troy, Ohio, Bruce D. Burkhardt, of Easley, SC, Brian T. Burkhardt, of Antioch, TN and Roger W. Burkhardt, of Powdersville, SC; two daughters, Ruby J. Jurkovic and Lori A. Worley, both of Powdersville, SC; one brother, Glenn Ebey, of Canton, OH; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Monday, April 25th at 2:00PM in Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, OH.Family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:30PM the same day prior to the service at Schneeberger Funeral Home, 2222 Fulton Road NW, Canton, OH.
