Evelyn Atkinson Crane, 87, widow of B.F. Crane, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A life-long resident of Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. and Flossie Atkinson.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Alexander of Travelers Rest; her sister Sara Coker of Williamston; 3 grandchildren, Steve Alexander of Travelers Rest, Heather Chasteen of Taylors and Greg Crane of Six Mile and 5 great- grandchildren, Jared, John and Jenny Alexander, Victor Chasteen and Dakota Crane. She was predeceased by her son, Mack Crane and a brother, Walter Atkinson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 31 at 3pm in the chapel at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson. The family will receive friends on Thursday prior to the service from 2-3pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Cannon Memorial Baptist Church, PO Box 758, Central, SC 29630. The family is at their respective homes.
