Mrs. Virginia Evelyn Stegall Finley, 76, formerly of Easley, died Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at Summit Place Living Center in Simpsonville.
Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Finley was a daughter of the late William Marion and Henrietta McNeely Stegall. A 1947 graduate of Easley High School, she was a homemaker and a member of Fork Shoals Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, William Alvin Finley; two sons, William and David A. Finley; four daughters, Dorothy Ann Shelton, of Pickens, Carol Jean Blackwell and her husband, Steven, of Easley, Linda Finley Dickert and her husband, Michael, of Greenville, and Sandra Boyce and her husband, John, of Gray Court; one brother, Thomas W. Stegall, of Pelzer; five sisters, Rosalee Bryant, Carol Ann Armstrong, and Doris Holliday, all of Easley, Francis Baker of Greenville, and Marion Johnson, of Mauldin; five grandsons and three granddaughters. Mrs. Finley was predeceased by three daughters, Nancy, Mary and Jeanette Finley.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Fork Shoals Baptist Church with the Reverend Nathan Gilstrap officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
