Evelyn May Pleskus, 89, formerly of Redington Shores, FL and widow of Albert C. Pleskus, died on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at National Health Care, Greenville, SC.
Born in Hackensack, NJ, a daughter of the late Otto and Florence Supply, she was a homemaker and a WWII veteran.
Surviving are: three daughters, Lee E. Hirtle and husband, Joel, of Westerville, OH, Janice J. Pleskus of West Union, SC, and Patricia A. Jensen and husband, Chris, of Easley, SC; one son, Albert C. Pleskus, Jr. and wife, Judy, of San Diego, CA; one sister, Virginia Meylan of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Tristan Hirtle, Andrew Hirtle, Lauren Hirtle, John Kelemen, Bryan Kelemen, Amalia Kelemen, James Prow, Janell Jensen, Jeffrey Pleskus and Molly Pleskus.
A Committal service will be held in Bay Pines National Cemetery, Bay Pines, Fl at a later date.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to either the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615 or to Winyah Community Hospice Care, 880 S. Pleasantburg Drive, Suite 1-A, Greenville, SC 29607.
