Mrs. Evelyn Medlin Sorgenfrei, 80, of 101 Clay St., wife of Elmer Sorgenfrei, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at her home.
Born September 13, 1931 in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Roberta Holbrooks Medlin. Mrs. Sorgenfrei was a US Army veteran and retired from the U. S. Postal Service.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, David Sorgenfrei (Judy) of Nampa, Idaho, Douglas Sorgenfrei (Traci) of Simpsonville, Dean Sorgenfrei (Sheila) of Ocean Springs, MS and Dale Sorgenfrei of Easley; three brothers, five sisters, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Rd., Easley.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Wednesday, following the service at St. Matthias Lutheran Church.
