Mrs. Evelyn Bowen Stephens, 82, wife of the late James T. Sims and the late Ivey J. Stephens, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, July 22, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Anderson County, the daughter of the late Ernest Levi and Maudie Martin Bowen, Mrs. Stephens retired from Art Construction Company and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Easley.
Surviving are a son, James Thomas "Jimmy" Sims, II, of Easley; a daughter, Vickie L. Warren of Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren Rachel Sanders, Michael Marice and Brent Buda; and four great-grandchildren, Leah Sanders, Taylor Sanders, Addison Marice, and Lauren Sanders, with whom she shared a special bond and called sweet girl.
Memorial services will be noon Thursday, July 26, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
The family is at the home of her son, Jimmy Sims, 1821 Old Pendleton Road, Easley, SC 29642.
