Evelyn G. Tollison
Evelyn Griffith Tollison, 98, beloved wife of the late Reverend Grady Tollison, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Welborn and Esther Gillespie Griffith.
Evelyn retired from First National Bank of Easley. She faithfully served fifty years with her husband in churches he pastored and was a volunteer with Palmetto Baptist Hospital for twenty-one years. She was a dedicated member of Easley First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Truett G. Tollison and his wife Gail, and Ronald Tollison; a daughter-in-law, Judy Watson Tollison; grandsons, Michael Tollison, Brian Tollison, Tim Tollison and his wife Renee, and two great granddaughters, Sydney Tollison and Ashlyn Tollison.
Mrs. Tollison was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Dr. Boyce G. Tollison; a sister, Virginia Whitfield; and brothers, Roy, Bill, and Buddy Griffith.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Easley First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. John Adams and Reverend Rick Baumgarner officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
