Evelyn B. Watson Townsend, wife of the late W. Neal Townsend, has passed away at the age of 90 on November 22, 2023.

Born on July 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Fred And Hassie Morton Watson.

Evelyn had a profound love for gardening, and found love in growing various flowers and vegetables. She also had a love for traveling. 

Evelyn is survived by her loving daughter Sandra Ridge and son-in-law Edward Ridge; grandchildren Terry Selliman, Danielle Balsamo, and Derek Ridge, ten great-grandchildren; and her siblings Carolyn E. Leopard, Helen H. Whitmire, Annie R. Etter, Louise E. Simmons, and Linda S. Galloway.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband W. Neal Townsend, daughter Catherine Selliman, grandchild Whitney Ridge, and her siblings Frances R. Nix, Willa Maie Pitts, Lymon Watson, Vivian E. Snipes, Ercel Watson, and Patricia Watson.

In honor of Evelyn's  life, a visitation will be held on November 28th from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home Downtown in Easley, South Carolina. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00 PM.
