Everett Walker Rupert, 91, of Clemson Downs Retirement Community and formerly of Columbus, OH, passed on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at An Med Hospital in Anderson, SC.
Born and raised in Vandergrift, PA, he was the son of the late Loren Claude and Pearl Walker Rupert. Everett attended Ohio State University, earned a private pilot's license and worked at Curtiss-Wright Aviation in Columbus, Ohio. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and retired from the US Treasury Department with 30 years of government service.
Surviving are his two daughters, Sandra Hanson and husband, Bill of Seneca, SC; and Sharon Blackwell and husband, Ed of Grand Rapids, MI.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Juliaette Kirker Rupert; and a sister Evelyn A. Rupert.
There will be no local services.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Union Cemetery Mausoleum in Columbus, Ohio with arrangements by Schoedinger Funeral Home-Northwest Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice Foundation, 298 Memorial Highway, Seneca, SC 29678.
