Fannie Ann Keener, 77, of Seneca, SC passed away peacefully at her home Monday, April 17, 2023. She was born in Concord, North Carolina on January 15, 1946, the daughter of Robert and Sallie Drake Russell.
Fannie had several jobs following graduation from high school. She enjoyed social activities, gardening and being outside. She loved her cat, but more than anything Fannie loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Ann Burkhart of Martinsburg, WV and Sarah Gray Creager (Steve) of Seneca, SC; two brothers, John Russell of Hartsville, SC and Jack Russell of Concord, NC; four sisters, Helen Edgerton of Goldsboro, NC, Violet Cramer of Kannapolis, NC, Fay Garner of Landis, NC, and Mary Ruth Burr of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Clark, Joseph Burkhart, and Dennis Burkhart; and five great grandchildren, Caron Clark, Tishawn “Goldie” Burkhart, Jade Ann Burkhart, Dakari Burkhart, and Joseph Burkhart.
In addition to her parents, Fannie was preceded in death by a daughter, Leilani Keener; and a brother, Robert Russell, Jr.
A memorial service will be held 2-4:00 PM Friday, April 21st, in the mausoleum at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mount Olivet Road, Concord, NC 28025.
