Fay Ruth Gunter Floyd, 74, of 109 South Eighth Street, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at her residence.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Luther and Nellie McGaha Gunter, she was a retired employee with Mayfair Mills and a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving are: a son, Charles Danny Floyd and wife, Sandy, of Easley; two daughters, Deborah Black of the home and Mary Charlene Wilson and husband, Arnold, of Pickens; two sisters, Ann Gunter of Greenville and Frances Sewell of Liberty; grandchildren, Bryan Young and wife, Janice, James Floyd and wife, April, Chris Eagan, Russ Eagan, and Matthew Eagan; great-grandchildren, Bre'Anna Young, Kaylee Young, Cody Young, Landon Hostetler and Summer Floyd.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Bill and Dewey Gunter; and two sisters, Helen Sanders and Bertha Hester.

Graveside services will be 4 PM, Wednesday in Greenlawn Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Roger Couch.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

The family is at the home.
