Faye B. Bowser

Faye Bumgarner Bowser, 94, of 110 Willow Place, Apt. 222, wife of the late W. Wayne Bowser, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at her home.
Born in Dixon, IL, she was the daughter of the late Elvie James and Mammie Tullis Bumgarner. A graduate of Salem High School in Salem, IL and Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Il, she worked as a school teacher after teaching in Elgin, IL for 35 years before retiring in 1976. Mrs. Bowser moved to Easley with her husband in 1983 and became a member of First Baptist Church where she was an officer of the Joy Sunday School Class and later the T.E.L Sunday School Class. She was a member the Order ofthe Eastern Star, Chapter 200 and served as Worthy Matron twice and as secretary for several years.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverend Dr. Lloyd Batson and Reverend Sam Totman officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 200 will serve as honorary escorts.
