Mrs. Faye Gantt Wilhoit, 81, wife of the late William Clevland Wilhoit, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Charlie Langston and Leila Roper Gantt, Mrs. Wilhoit retired from Sangamo Electric and was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, William (Bill) Wilhoit and his wife Wilma and Joe Wilhoit and his wife Debra, all of Liberty; one brother, Luther Cleo Gantt of Easley; one sister, Alice Shrum of TN; three grandchildren, Matthew, Christy and Benjamin Wilhoit; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Jones and Selena Wilhoit; and a great friend, Kathy Wilhoit. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wilhoit was predeceased by two brothers, Bill and Charles Gantt and two sisters, Bertha Barnett and Louise Barton.
Graveside memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2011 in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Harold Sanders officiating.
Visitation will be from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home of her son Joseph Wilhoit, 652 Simms Mill Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
