Felton Novelle Crews was born in Arcadia, FL on September 23rd, 1941, to Ferman and Evelyn Mizelle Crews. After a courageous and long battle with cancer, he peacefully passed to his heavenly home at McCall Hospice House on October 18th, 2023.

 At the age of 7 his family relocated to Greer, SC where his father began a propane gas company and moved 8 years later to Easley, SC.  Felton began working with his father at the age of 15. After attending Clemson University, he began his notable career with Blossman Gas Inc. He served as a past president of the NC Propane Gas Association as well as the SC Propane Gas Association.

Because of his love and commitment to community and church, Felton was a member of the Lions Club, where he served as past president. He was also a 67-year member of First Baptist Church of Easley, where he was a former Sunday School teacher. After retirement, he enjoyed further Bible study with a men’s group in Greenville. 

Felton leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Sherry Ariail Crews. Along with his wife, Felton is survived by three daughters, Kim Crews Humphries, Anna Crews Price (Michael), and Brandi Crews Waldrop (Eddie), seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his sister Chris Crews Swords.

Along with his parents, Felton was predeceased by his brother, Joe Tom Crews.

Felton had a variety of interests which included Bible study, yard work, travel, and playing golf. The most important part of his life was spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a calm, loving, dependable, and thoughtful person. 

The service of commitment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Easley. Visitation is in the church narthex from 12:00-1:45. Interment will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum, at 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
