Flora Alice Kizer Stone, 82, of Seneca, SC passed away July 21, 2017.
Flora was born on March 10, 1935 in St. George, SC to Chester Wright Kizer and Ella Belle Kizer.
She was always the belle of the ball whether wearing high heels or cowboy boots. Flora was known for her outspoken wit and wisdom as well as her love for family, neighbors and friends. She always had a special place in her heart for children maybe because she remained young at heart throughout her life. She was a voracious reader and her curiosity and enthusiasm for life were infectious.
Flora was swept off her feet on a blind date with an "out-of- towner" and six weeks later they married. She and husband Jim were married for 61 years and had two children.
Flora was predeceased in death by her parents and her son, James Chester "Chet" Stone.
Flora is survived by her devoted husband James Austin "Jim" Stone, her daughter and son-in- law, Holly Kizer Stone (Patrick Clow), and her granddaughter Madison Austin Shea. Other surviving family members include her brother and sister-in- law Chester Harvey Kizer (Bert), niece Alice Lynn Stein (Doug), nephew Harvey Kizer (Teresa), great niece Meagan, great nephew James(Chelsea), cousins Martha Ann McAlhany and Kenny Pendarvis.
Flora's funeral service will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd, Central, SC with burial for family and close friends at Memory Gardens 586 Issaqueena Trail, Clemson, SC.
