Mrs. Florence Lark "Tick" Fortner, 94, wife of the late William C. "Skeet" Fortner, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Emeritus of Greenville.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Benjamin Perry and Effie Burnette Lark, Mrs. Fortner was a homemaker and a member of Glenwood Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Bill Fortner (Norma) of Easley; one daughter, Cathy Fortner Pittman (Donald) of Greer; two brothers, H.J. Lark of Pickens and W.P. Lark of Piedmont; two sisters, Carol Matheny of Townville, and Frances Bagwell of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Ben Fortner (Stacey) and Scott Fortner (Lynn) of Easley and one great-grandchild, Mia Fortner. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Fortner was predeceased by three brothers, W.F., B.P. and Bobby Joe Lark; and one sister, Mary Ellen Stewart.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery, Easley.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
