Floride Rion Lemmon Martin Gardner, 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Foothills Presbyterian Home in Easley.
Born in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Rev. John Mills and Elizabeth Barron Lemmon. She was a retired teacher and a member of Easley Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Roy Martin (Carol), of Troutman, NC; daughters, Betty Martin Gasque of Charleston, SC, Margaret Martin of Greenville, SC and Martha Martin Drouin (John), of Virginia Beach, VA.; four grandsons; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Ane Gardner DiVenere (Peter) and Charlotte Gardner Palmer. She was predeceased by her husbands, LeRoy Bishop Martin, Jr. and Frederick Hunt Gardner; her sister, Talulah Lemmon McInvaill; her brother, Ben Dusenbury Lemmon; as well as by two grandsons, James McQueen Martin and Bradley Keith Pressley, Jr.
The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Foothills Presbyterian Home as well as Hospice of the Upstate for their support and care.
A memorial service will be held at the Foothills Presbyterian Home in Easley on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Health Care Unit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foothills Presbyterian Home, 205 Bud Nalley Drive, Easley, SC 29642 or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
