Florine Alexander Grubbs, 80, of 127 Shadow Hills Lane, wife of the late Fred Edger Grubbs, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at AnMed Health Center.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Robert and Onie Turner Alexander, Mrs. Grubbs retired from J.P. Stevens Corp. and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry A. Grubbs (Judy) of Pelzer, and Jimmy Grubbs and Freddie E. Grubbs III (Pam), all of Liberty; two daughters, Patricia Brandt (David) of North Augusta, and Rose Grubbs (Joey Leopard) of Liberty; a brother, Elijah Alexander of Greenville; a sister, Sue Alexander of Greenville; eleven grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Grubbs was predeceased by a son, David Earl Grubbs and by a daughter, Betty Jean Grubbs.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Graceland West Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Freddie and Pam Grubbs, 127 Shadow Hill Lane, Liberty, SC 29657.
