Henry Floyd Booth, 89, of Pendleton, died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at his home. He was married for over 62 years to the late Willie Bennett Booth.
Born in Iva, SC, he was a son of the late Robert Booth and Martha Payne Booth Parham. He was a retired employee with Milliken Company at the Finishing Plant in Pendleton. Floyd was a USMC Veteran of WWII surviving the Battle of Iwo Jima and was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star. He was a member of the American Legion Post 113 in Pendleton and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son, David Booth and wife, Carol of Anderson, SC; brother, Arnold Parham (Kola) of Hartwell, GA; sister, Betty Jean Evans, (Bobby) of Hartwell, GA; grandchildren, Kelly Mertz, (Andy) of NJ and Erin Lloyd of AZ; and 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his step-father, Howard Parham; brother, Robert Booth and brothers, Leroy and Lewis Parham; and sister Maxine Kellum.
Cryptside funeral services will be 11 AM, Tuesday at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Clemson, SC.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the mausoleum.
