Floyd Ray Myers, 75, of 133 Cater Drive, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at his residence.

Born in Anderson County a son of the late Roy Lee and Ellen Garrison Myers, he was a retired MSgt with USAir Force and then retired after 26 years of service with the US Postal Service, Greenville. He was a veteran of Vietnam and served on the rescue missions for many Apollo missions while being stationed in Florida. He was a member of Wren Baptist Church.

A good husband and father, he is survived by his loving wife, Louise Gilbert Myers of the home; three sons, Stephen Eugene (JoAnn) Myers and Timothy Ray (Tamara) Myers all of Easley, and Christopher Allen Myers of Toccoa, GA; two brothers, Earl Myers of Anderson and Charles Myers of Easley; four sisters, Ruth Cheatwood of Travelers Rest, Frances Houtchin of Washington, DC, Rachel Ledford of Atlanta, and Carolyn Whitted of Berea; three grandchildren, Stepanie Myers, Thomas Myers and David Robinson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 3 PM, Thursday at Wren Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Sanders and Mr. Mike Mayfield officiating.

Burial with full military rites will be held at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road following the church service.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
