Floyd Lamar Porter, 74, went home to be with his Lord May 14th, 2021. He was a resident of Pendleton, SC.
Lamar is survived by his wife of 52 Amazing years, Brenda Stasney Porter; his children, Michael Lamar Porter (Amy), Jennifer Denise Citrone (Ray); Grandchildren Michael Hobie Porter (Marley), Madison Brooke Frady (James), Mckenna Brea Stargel (Knight), Kaitlin Brady Muchiarone (Jesse), Hannah Breanne Porter, Ashlyn Rhea Citrone; and 7 Great Grandchildren; and his sister, Sandra Wheeler.
Lamar was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lola Porter.
Lamar was a machine operator/tech with West Point Stevens for 29 years. He was a valued member of the Pendleton Gun Dogs and Tokeena Beagle Clubs. Lamar's love of animals was like none other and is one of the things he passed to his children and grandchildren. He loved to hunt, fish, swap sale and trade and most of all hear the bark and howl of his beagles running a rabbit. Lamar was an honest man of faith and he was loved by all who knew him.
His family will receive friends and family at 3:00 PM prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 18th at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd, Central, SC 29630 with Pastor Philip Blankenship officiating the service. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.
