Frances Margaret Blair Ellenburg, 84, of 202 Day Street, died Wednesday October 24, 2007 at her home.
Mrs. Ellenburg was born in Greenville, a daughter of the late Charles Houston and Margaret "Maggie" Hughes Blair. She was employed by Swirl, Inc. for 25 years, served as a vending attendant for Wometco Enterprises, Inc. for more than a decade and more recently also served as a Stanley Home Products Dealer for 35 years. Frances loved the Lord and her church. She was a member of Glenwood Wesleyan Church where she was the secretary for her Sunday School class for 40 years.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Danny and Diane Ellenburg, of Schwenksville, PA and Bruce and Brenda Ellenburg, of Liberty; three daughters and their husbands, Patricia Ladd, of Easley, Sandra and Don Wise, of Alpine, CA. and Deborah and Ron Day, of Pickens; a sister, Velma Bays, of Lowell, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Walter Bailey "Turk" Ellenburg; brothers, Charles Blair and Marvin Blair; half-brothers, William Blair, Luther Blair and Odell Blair; a sister, Louise Garrett; step-sisters, Bessie Welborn, Dorothy Nalley, Mattie Wilson, Ruth Dunn and Minnie Garrett; a great-grandchild, Amber Ladd and her step-mother, Effie Dunn.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Glenwood Wesleyan Church conducted by the Reverends Tom Stanley, Paul Wilcox and Harold Nicholson. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
