Frances Sims Friend, 86, of 605 West 4th Ave., wife of the late Paul Raymond Friend, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born October 1, 1925 in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Roxie Orr Sims. Mrs. Friend retired from Southern Bell and was a longtime member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Gadley (Rusty) of Easley; grandchildren, Jeffrey Toby (Danielle), John Toby (Lee Ann) and Kayla Gadley; and great-granddaughter, Natalie Toby.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sister, Vera Thompson; and brother, Robert Sims.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family will be at 225 Midland Dr., Easley, SC 29640.
