Frances E. Henningson

Frances Emily Kratky Henningson, 89, of Clemson and widow of Robert Walter Henningson died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at AnMed Health.
Born in 1924, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Kratky and Emily Bowler. She earned an Associate Degree in Nutrition from Cobleskill, NY and was given a PhT (Putting Husband Through) Degree from Cornell University, an honor given to wives who worked very hard to help their husbands through college on the GI Bill after WWII. She was a very active member of Clemson United Methodist Church working with her circle, as a volunteer office worker and Wednesday lunch helper. She was an avid Clemson Football and Basketball fan and loved collecting jokes and sharing them.
She was a loving mother of two daughters, Karen Henningson Jones (and her husband, Tappey) of Staunton, VA and Nancy Henningson Harshman (and husband, David) of Central; a grandmother to two grandchildren, Anne Jones and Andrew Jones; and sister to Anna Simek of Baldwinsville, NY.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lenhart.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Monday at Clemson United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Old Stone Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
