Frances Winona Pelfrey, 80, beloved wife of the late Clarence Preston Pelfrey, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at The Oaks of Chanticleer Memory Care Facility in Greenville.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Essie Freeman McCollum.

Mrs. Pelfrey was a homemaker. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed working in her flower garden, listening to music and dancing.

Surviving are her children, Bootsy Pelfrey White (Mark) of Easley and Bobby Dale Pelfrey (Kelly White) of Dacusville; grandchildren, Justin Dickard (Marissa) of San Diego, CA, Alexis Bell (Michael) of Easley and Jennifer Neeley (Chez) of Anderson; her precious great-grandchildren, MaKayla, Jayden and Mariah Bell, Maddie and Jax Dickard, and Dade Neeley; her best friend, Mildred McCollum; and a special niece, Sandy Noel.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Preston Leroy Pelfrey, and brothers, Junior, John, Gerald, Doug, and Bill McCollum.

In honor of Winona’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held at a later date.
