Frances R. Sears

Frances Roper Sears, 91, of Pendleton , loving mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 7, 2009 at her residence. She was the widow of Benjamin Oliver Sears.
Born in Central, SC, a daughter of the late John Samuel and Olivia Jane Howe Roper, she was a retired employee of Cheney Brothers of Pendleton, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of LaFrance Baptist Church, the Winsome Sunday School Class and the WMU.
Surviving are her son, Steve Sears and wife, Lynn of Anderson along with two grandchildren, Michael and Zachary Sears; a sister, Bernice Kelly of Clemson; a half-brother, Wilton Roper of Clemson; and four half-sisters, Dorothy Traynum of Pendleton, Rachel Morrison of Central, Reba Smith of Clemson and Zelma Rosco of Charlotte, NC.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jessie Roper Martin; one brother, Paul Roper; and four half-brothers, John Roper, Jr, Ray Roper, Carl Adger Roper and Marion Roper.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with Revs. Gene Burdette, Danny Gray and Gordy Craft officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
The family is at the home of the son, Steve Sears.
