Frances Galloway Waldrop

Frances Whitmire Galloway Waldrop, 88, of S. 6th Street, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at her home.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Richard Sylvester and Addie Holden Whitmire.
Mrs. Waldrop was retired from Saco-Lowell in Easley and was a lifetime member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her family, her church family and enjoyed teaching Sunday school, Bible school, and working with the W.M.U.
Surviving is her daughter, Debra Galloway Moore of Easley; grandchildren, Drew Moore (Carrie), Heath Moore (Kellie), Brent Galloway (Kimberly), Cole Galloway and Benjamin Galloway; great grandchildren, Abigail, Naomi, and Evie Moore, Rowyn and Karrigan Galloway; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Galloway; and stepdaughters, Cindy Burns (Lanny), Tina Manning and Jane Hoffstetter.
Mrs. Waldrop was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband of 50 years, Coleman E. Galloway; a son, Randy Galloway; her second husband of 14 years, James Walter "Dub" Waldrop; a son-in-law, James Lloyd Moore; sisters, Nedra McJunkin, Edna Adcox, "Pete" Clardy, Grace Adcox and Sue Hayes; and brothers, "Click", R.V., Edgar, J.C., and "Pee Wee" Whitmire; and a stepdaughter, Kay Cobb.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 8, 2021 at Jones Avenue Baptist Church with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Waldrop will lie in state at the church from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM on Monday, prior to the service, for those wishing to pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jones Avenue Baptist Church, 614 Ross Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
The family will be at their respective homes.
