Frances Nix Watson, 66, of 290 John Holliday Road and widow of John Watson, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie S. and Mary Lois Nimmons Nix. Frances was a retired sewing machine mechanic with J.P. Stevens, Clemson Plant. She was a member of Six Mile Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Anthony Watson of Six Mile; brothers, Charles Nix and Ralph Nix both of Liberty and Clifton Nix of Norris; sisters, Mary Stancell and Martha Gilstrap both of Easley and Julia Barker of Six Mile; and a grandson, Andy Watson of Six Mile.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Annie Lee Woody, Novella Gunnells and Barbara Hickey.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Thursday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Revs. Doyle Barker and Shane Funderburke officiating.
Burial will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45PM, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family will be at their respective homes.
