Francis Norwood Howard, Sr., 87, formerly of Hickory Tavern, husband of the late Lillie Mae Albertson Howard, died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Westside Living Center.
Born in Hendersonville, NC, a son of the late England and Annie Howard, Mr. Howard retired from Reigel Textile Corporation.
Surviving are three sons, Grady Lee Howard, Ronnie Michael Howard and Francis Howard, Jr., all of Hickory Tavern; two daughters, Patsy Davis of Easley, and Mary Williams of Sumrall, MS; two brothers, Bill Howard and Charles Howard both of Ware Shoals; five sisters, Grace Drury of Florida, Louise Ross of Hickory Tavern, Kathrine Chadwick and Mildred Newton, both of Laurens, and Sara Chapman of Ware Shoals; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Howard was predeceased by a daughter, Nellie Rogers; two brothers, Robert (Bud) Howard and Leroy Howard, and by two sisters, Rosie Kelly and Betty (Net) Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown Easley.
The family is at the home of a son Ronnie Howard, 52 K & R Drive, Gray Court, SC 29645.
Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.
