Frank "Bug" Childress

Frank Junior "Bug" Childress, 67, of Pecan Court, husband of the late Linda Nold Childress, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late John Frank Childress and Marie Durham Childress.
Bug was retired from Metromont Materials in Greenville. He was a member of West End Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, golfing and shooting pool.
Surviving are his children, Michelle Bridgman (Zach) of Pumpkintown, Chris Childress (Kayla) of Easley, Tara Lanier of Liberty, and Cody Childress of the home; grandchildren, Zachery, Haley, Karsen, Reid, Hunter, Jayde and Caydyn; a great grandchild, Piper; a sister, Linda Burrell (Charles) of Seneca; and a brother, Bobby Childress (Linda) of Easley.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ricky Childress.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
