Frank Ralph Cox, 78, of Easley, South Carolina, loving husband of Joyce Spearman Cox, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Born on June 8, 1946, in Pickens County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Jim Frank and Fannie Renee Cox. Frank's journey through life was marked by an unwavering commitment to his loved ones and a passion for sharing joy with those around him. Frank dedicated over 35 years of his life working as an electrician for Walker and Whiteside Incorporated, where his expertise and dedication shone brightly. He was not just a committed worker; he was a mentor to many, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. A proud veteran, Frank served in the US Army during the Vietnam War for four years. His sense of duty and honor shaped his character and instilled in him the values of compassion and integrity. Following his service, he returned home, where he devoted himself to his family, becoming a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Frank was known for putting others before himself, often going out of his way to make sure those around him were happy. Known to many by the affectionate nickname “Crazy Bear,” Frank had an infectious sense of humor that could light up a room. His laughter was contagious, and he had a special talent for finding joy in the simplest moments. Frank loved spending time in nature, enjoying the great outdoors while hunting and fishing. These passions brought him peace and fulfillment, allowing him to create countless memories with family and friends. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
In addition to his loving wife of 47 years, he is survived by two daughters, Lynn D. Monroe (Richard), and Laura Ann Trammell (Jody); five grandchildren, Craig Monroe (Beth), Cayla Edwards (Justin), Elizabeth Monroe (Ray), Abby Trammell “Tippy Toes” (Devin “Melvin”), and Samantha Trammell; nine great-grandchildren, Justin Monroe, Jared Monroe, Kira Boyd, Brandon Hall, Madi Smith, Skylar Edwards, Heath Edwards, Briana Edwards and River Bailey Lark; two brothers; and three sisters.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
