Frank H. Inabnit, Jr.

Frank Houser Inabnit, Jr., 88, formerly of Clemson, died November 19, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Orangeburg County, son of the late Frank Hampton and Anna Lucile Culler Inabnit, he grew up in the Limestone Community in North Orangeburg County.
He graduated from Orangeburg High School in 1937 and Clemson College in 1941 where he played in the band. After receiving a bachelor's degree in Agronomy, he returned to Orangeburg and farmed for twelve years. In 1954, he and his family moved to Atlanta where he began a 29 year career with the B. F. Goodrich Company and later moved to Dothan, AL, Augusta, GA and Jacksonville, FL. After retirement he worked for 10 years with his church, Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. In 1994 he and his wife moved to Clemson, SC and became active members of Clemson United Methodist Church.
He was devoted to his faith, his church, family, friends and Clemson.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Mary Stewart Inabnit and sisters, Hazel Inabnit Gibson, Anna Warren Inabnit and Bernice Culler Inabnit.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Frank Houser Inabnit III and Barbara Asmussen Inabnit of Jacksonville, FL, daughter, Catherine Culler Inabnit of Spartanburg, SC, daughter and son-in-law Mary Todd Inabnit and Barry Rodgers of Raleigh, NC; and grandchildren, Scott Hampton Rodgers of Chapel Hill, NC and Emily Catherine Rodgers of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Margaret Stewart Rickenbaker of Cameron, SC and beloved nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday at Clemson United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Hutchison officiating. Burial will be at 4 PM, Saturday at Limestone United Methodist Church Cemetery, Limestone Road, Orangeburg, SC.
