Franklin Leon Turner, 75, of the Powdersville Community, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 following a long illness.
Born in Pickens, he was the son of the late Leon Franklin and Fannie Louise Holliday Turner.
Frank retired from UPS after 34 years of service. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed working on cars. His passion was cooking and he always experimented with new recipes. His specialty was pound cakes of many varieties. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren; and he also loved Dakota, a dog who gave him purpose in life.
Surviving are his four children, Crystal Dawn Turner; Kevin Leon Turner; Matthew Franklin Turner; and Brittany Turner Ivey; and nine grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Elaine Turner.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Research Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
