Frank Nicholas Vomacka, 94, of 106 Woodhill Drive, died, Tuesday, June 02, 2009, at his home.
Born in Manhattan, New York, Mr. Vomacka was a son of the late Frank and Mary Pakluda Vomacka. He retired as a chemical engineer in the gravure ink industry. He was a Roman Catholic, and he had served in the National Guard.
Mr. Vomacka is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Annie Vomacka of Montclair, New Jersey and David and Theresa Vomacka, of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Donald Collins of Easley, SC; a sister, Anne Horton of Long Island, New York; a daughter-in-law, Virginia Vomacka of Mogadore, Ohio; a sister-in- law, Ann Berry of Easley; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Muriel Berry Vomacka; a son, Richard Vomacka; and two brothers, William and John Vomacka.
Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 558 Hampton Avenue, Pickens, SC 29671.
