Frank R. Waring, 79, of 210 Jule Merck Road, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Hospice of the Upstate.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Frank G. and Gladys Richbourg Waring, Mr. Waring retired from the Easley Branch of the US Postal Service after twenty years of service. He attended Trinity Wesleyan Church and was a US Navy Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Craig Waring of the home; a son, Gregg Waring and his wife Judy of Liberty; a daughter, Jan Miller and her husband Lane of Clemson; two step daughters, Kay Segers and her husband Greg of Liberty and, Charlotte Shirley and her husband Rick of Six Mile; three sisters, Bobbie W. Hawkins of York, Martha W. Garrison of Clemson, and Patricia W. Rice of Easley; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Waring was predeceased by his first wife, Bernice Shirley Waring, two brothers, Morton W. Waring and Paul G. Waring, Sr.; a half brother, Frank G. Waring, Jr., and a sister, Betty W. Smith.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home Downtown with Rev. James Wiggins and Rev. Don Millstead officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.

The family is at the residence.
