Born in Georgia, Mr. Carter retired from textiles and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
