William Fred Turner, 92, of 258 Mulberry Road, husband of the late Artie Lucille Cassell Turner, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at his home.

Born in Oconee County, a son of the late Noah and Omie Woodall Turner, Mr. Turner retired from the Arial Plant of Alice Manufacturing Company after forty-seven years of service and attended Free Wesleyan Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the US Army.

Surviving are a son, Daniel M. Turner (Shelia) of Easley, a brother, Claude Turner, of Easley; a granddaughter, Rebecca Nicole Turner Gilstrap and a great-grandson, Benjamin Gilstrap. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Turner was predeceased by a granddaughter, Courtney Mae Turner, a grandson, John Gilstrap, five brothers, Clarence Turner, J.B. Turner, Lawton Turner, Roland Bill Turner and Ped Turner and by five sisters, Josephine Swafford, Louise Grace Pickett and Daisy Dalton, Bessie Turner and Burice Cecile Patterson.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 1:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

The family is at the residence.
