Mr. Fred Webber Waddell, 74, of 102 Harrison Road, Easley, loving husband of Helen Lucille Bennenfield Waddell, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his residence.


Fred was born in Fort Jackson, SC on December 20, 1941 to the late Fred and Louise Webber Waddell. He received his associate's degree from Greenville Technical College, majoring in Industrial Engineering and minoring in Industrial Electronics. He was a member of the Wade Hampton Masonic Lodge #404 and was a member of the Woodmen of the World. Fred volunteered his time with Interim Hospice in Spartanburg and was a member of the Greenville American Legion Post. Fred was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and he was a member of River Road Baptist Church.


In addition to his loving wife, Fred is survived by two sons; Charles Fred Waddell (Allison), of Asheboro, NC and Phillip Wayne Waddell of the home; and two daughters; Cynthia Louise Melton of Gaffney, SC; and Joyce Lesley of Pickens. Fred is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Jaime Waddell, Ted Bell, Jason P. Waddell, J.P. Melton, Emily Hilton, Johnie L. Reece, Amanda Page, Savannah George, Breanna McAbee, Christianna Emerson, and Delano Lesley; one great-grandchild; Xavier Melton, and the Lesley Family Great-Grandchildren.


Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 1, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Interment with Military Rites will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery in Anderson.


The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home prior to the service on Monday from 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM. 


The family is at the residence.


The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Hospital, and Open Arms Hospice for all their care, love, and concern during this time in their loss.
