Freddie Lane McMillan passed away July 6, 2011 at the Cottingham Hospice House at the age of 49. He will be deeply missed.
He was the son of the late Walter "Bud" McMillan and Jackie Honeycutt Porter and the grandson of the late Boyd and Lola McMillan of the Providence Community.
Visitation will be at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home Saturday, July 9th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. The service will begin at 11:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Earnest Chapel Church of Christ in Oakman, AL with the eulogy given by his cousin, Ken McMillan.
Fred is survived by a son, Bud McMillan; step-son, Michael Passmore; step-father, Roy Porter and his wife, Vickie; brothers: Frank McMillan, Michael Porter, and Zeb McMillan; sisters: Cindy M. Franks, Cadwell Leigh McMillan, Rebecca Leigh Richey, and Polly Gossett; special niece and caregiver, Vicki Langley; best friend, Sandra Kelley; and many more friends and family members.
He was predeceased by his parents, step-daughter, Rebecca David, nephew, Shaun Franks, and uncle, Jim McMillan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to OMH Foothills Hospice at 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
