Freida Squyres Olive, 84, of 114 Knight Circle and widow of Edward Fleming Olive, Sr., died Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Foothills Assisted Living in Walhalla, SC.
Born in Lisbon, LA, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Mary Emma Killen Squyres. Mrs. Olive was a graduate of Northwestern Louisiana University and earned her Masters Degree from Auburn University. She was a retired librarian at Seneca High School and was a longtime member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of Clemson.
Surviving are three sons, Edward F. Olive, Jr. of Clemson, John Squyres Olive of Pendleton and Samuel Patrick (Angela) Olive of Sugarland, TX; sister, Margeurite Averil of Troy, TX; and two grandchildren, Julia Olive and Samantha Olive.
Memorial services will be 1 PM, Friday at First Baptist Church, Clemson.
The family will receive immediately following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association-Anderson, 4124 Clemson Blvd, Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
