Grady Eston Tripp, 76, of Powdersville and husband of Betty Sherman Tripp, passed away Saturday November 19, 2011.

Mr. Tripp was born in Easley, a son of the late Grady Ellis and Vivian Bagwell Tripp. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was retired from J.P. Stevens & Company - Monoghan Plant. Prior to that he was self-employed in the construction business. He was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends. In later years he was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing vegetables with family, friends and neighbors.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter, Susan Campbell and her husband, Sandy, of Piedmont; step-grandsons, Brandon and Blake Campbell; a sister-in-law, Pat Tripp, of Powdersville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, I.V. Tripp, Larry Tripp, Vaughn Tripp and Gerald Tripp.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with the Reverend Dr. Keith Shorter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

The family is at the home.
