Maxine Gail McNeely Brothers, 70, of 157 McNeely Road, died Monday, December 21, 2009, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Rev. Milton K. and Bessie Johnson McNeely, Mrs. Brothers was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Haskell Brothers of the home; a son, Scott Brothers of Liberty; two daughters, Melissa F. Grasty of Liberty, and Gina Wilbanks of Anderson; a brother, Melvin McNeely of Liberty; three sisters, Cathy Stathos of Myrtle Beach, Faye Burgess of Liberty and Joyce Brown of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brothers was predeceased a son, Michael Todd Brothers, three brothers, Norman G. McNeely, Jerry McNeely and Jimmy McNeely, and by a sister, Louise Landers.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the home of Melissa Grasty, 220 McNeely Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
