Obituary

Gail Vivian Lamoreaux Rogers, 79, wife of Richard E. Rogers, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Simpsonville, SC. Born on June 21, 1947, in Norfolk, VA, to the late Harold Lamoreaux and the late Jean Peterson Lamoreaux.

She graduated from Towson State College in Towson, Maryland with a degree in History. She was an avid reader of history and numerous other genres.

Gail was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a righteous woman and cherished member who was active in serving in the church.

She attended weekly lunches with her girlfriends’ sharing stories and laughter. She loved anything chocolate and attending Clemson games.

Along her parents, she is preceded in death by step-children, Richard E. Rogers II and Heatherly F. Rogers.

In addition to her husband of 30 years, she is survived by daughter, Jennifer Grogan (Kevin); son, Brian Benton; sister, Barbara McCaskey; step-children, David Rogers (Maggie), Lisa Rogers, John Rogers, Donna Rogers, Paul Rogers (Julie), Mark Rogers (Crystal) and many grandchildren who she loved and adored.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1301 Boiling Springs Rd, Greer, SC 29650, with her funeral service to begin at 10:00 AM. A private entombment will be held in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens.

Gail will be remembered for her love for the Lord; the kindness and joy she brought others. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
