Mr. Garland S. Duncan, Jr., 80, of 329 Burns Avenue, husband of the late Ruby Mae Rackley Duncan, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 30, 2011 while at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pickens County on January 10, 1931, he was a son of the late Garland and Olivia Owens Duncan. Mr. Duncan was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He retired from General Electric Company in 1994 and was a veteran serving in the US Air Force Reserves. For 55 years, he was a member of the Masonic Temple.

Surviving are a son, Allen Duncan (Rae) of Easley; two daughters, Barbara Chamness (Glenn Boothe) of Pickens and Catherine O'Donnell (Ed) of Knoxville TN; two sisters, Louise Black (JT) and Inez Holder both of Easley; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Noon Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Stuart Houston officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 10:30 until 11:45 AM at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his son, Allen Duncan 111 Wilshire Dr., Easley, SC 27642.
