Gary Lee Boozer, 75, loving husband of Sandra Lashley Boozer, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026. Born on May 3, 1950, in Dutton, AL to the late Doyle Boozer and the late Louise Hart Boozer. Gary was a man whose kindness and infectious smile brightened the lives of those around him.
Gary lived a life marked by dedication, intelligence, and an extraordinary warmth that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Gary's intellectual pursuits were just as impressive as his interpersonal gifts. He earned a double master’s degree in business and marketing, a testament to his relentless curiosity and commitment to growth.
Gary’s professional journey was distinguished by his role as an Applications Support Manager at BI-LO. A dedicated and smart associate, he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues who valued both his expertise and his genuine care for people. His analytical thinking was one of his proudest accomplishments, enabling him to solve complex problems with clarity and precision that made a lasting impact on his workplace.
Beyond his career, Gary was a true people person. He engaged in conversation with all he met, always ready with a kind word, a funny remark, or a smile that could light up a room. Those who knew him remember his remarkable ability to connect authentically, to listen deeply, and to make each person feel valued.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Boozer.
Along with his wife of 55 years, he is survived by sisters, Stephanie Norred and Jennifer Henry (Marty); brother, Greg Boozer (Sharon); brother-in-law, Mike Lashley (Beverly); sister-in-law, Cecilia Lashley; many nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with his memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel.

In remembering Gary, we celebrate a man whose kindness, humor, and intelligence shaped a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed, and forever cherished.
