Gary Owen Davis, 64, husband of Janie Chrisley Davis, passed away peacefully at his home in Greenville on Thursday, December 19, 2019. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, July 6, 1955, a son of Arlen and Patricia Redding Davis.
Gary grew up in Haughton, Louisiana, and attended Haughton High School. After he and Janie were married, they eventually moved to Greenville, South Carolina. He owned and operated his own auto repair garage, Gary's Garage and Muffler Shop in Central, SC. He was a very hard worker and worked in Central for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and watching Westerns on TV. He loved collecting things like diecast race cars and shot glasses.
Gary is survived by his loving wife Janie; his daughter, Rebecca and grand-dog, Baby. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Tommy; and a sister, Gaye Gordon.
There will be a celebration of Gary's life at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 22, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd., Central.
