Gary Alan Justice, popularly known as Gear Man, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15th, 2023, at his residence at the age of 76.

Gary was a graduate of Tri State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and had a successful career at Richmond Gear. He started as a Plant Manager and went on to become the General Manager and Vice President of the company. The entire organization knew him for his hard work and dedication.

Apart from a successful career, Gary also held great pride in being married to Joy Justice for 39 wonderful years. Together they raised three children, Jason A. Justice (Julie), Jennifer L. Ruble (Bryce) and Karly C. Sears (Nick). He had four grandchildren, Mackenzie Ruble, Bailey Ruble, Cooper Sears, and Avery Sears. He was often seen watching their ballgames and spending time outdoors with them. He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan L. Justice; his mother, Ellen Ware Justice Fullhart; his sister, Ivetta Aul.

In addition to this, Gary's faith played an essential part in his life; he was actively involved in Five Point Church in Easley and was a greeter for several years. Gary enjoyed helping people around him and believed in using his skills to give back to the community that had given him so much. Apart from this act of kindness, Gary had several hobbies he enjoyed during his free time. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast; he enjoyed watching Indy Car races alongside National Hot Rod Association events. He also worked with wood – whittling out Santa Clauses that many family members cherish as fond memories today. Gary enjoyed golf and liked to fish and shooting sports clays.

Gary's memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, at Five Point Church in Easley. The family will receive friends following the service.

Gary lived a full life surrounded by love and contentment. He will be remembered by all those who knew him for being a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who brightened up the lives of those around him with his kindness and warmth. He will forever be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest, spreading happiness everywhere he went. Rest in peace Gary Alan Justice; your memory lingers on in our hearts forevermore.
