Gay McAdams Sanders, 93, of 110 Willow Place, and wife of the late James Aubrey Sanders, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016.


Born in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Garland Letcher McAdams and Mayme Pearl Day McAdams.


Mrs. Sanders was retired from Grace Christian Academy in Jacksonville FL. She was a member of Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church in Six Mile where she volunteered with the Creative Ministries. She loved crocheting, quilting and spending time with her church friends.


Surviving are her children, Gayl S. Wright and husband, Steve, of Sunset, SC, Guy Sanders and wife, Mary, of Brandon, FL and Greg Sanders and wife, Barbara, of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Sara Harding, Jamie Bagley, Marianne Campbell, Evangeline Wright, Stephen Wright, Alan Wright, Rob Wright, David Sanders, Peter Sanders, Emily Sanders, Philip Sanders, Hannah Sanders and James Sanders; and thirteen great grandchildren.


In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Junior, Ray and Rau McAdams.


A memorial service will be held on Monday April 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church, 185 Ridgeland Dr., Six Mile, SC 29682. The burial will follow at a later date in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens in Jacksonville, FL.


The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church, 185 Ridgeland Dr., Six Mile, SC 29682 .
