Gaynell Rollins Johnston, 86, widow of Garvin A. Johnston, died at her daughter�??s residence in Easley on Saturday, October 30, 2010. A native of Central she was the daughter of the late William and Myrtie Teat Rollins. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Central.
She is survived by son Garvin A. Johnston, Jr. and wife Gail of Central, daughter, Patsy Wilson and husband Stanley of Easley, sister-in-law, Irene Hopkins and grandchildren, Tracie Matthews, Kim Smith, Timothy Wilson, Kevin Johnston and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 4 brothers and 5 sisters. The family will be at their respective homes.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm Monday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-4pm prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Central, 207 Johnston Road, Central, SC 29630.
