Gaynell "Nell" Carter Robinson, 91, of 506 Roe Road and wife of the late Farris Robinson,Sr., passed away Saturday November 5, 2011 at McCall Hospice House.

Mrs. Robinson was born in Greenville, a daughter of the late Dalton D. and Jessie Lee Carter. She worked at Franklin Dye & Yarn Company for 38 years and was a member of Powdersville First Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Clyde Robinson (Brenda), of Fountain Inn and Arvel Robinson, of Easley; three daughters, Faye Manley (Jackie), Linda Morris and Betty Jean Lingerfelt (Rocky), all of Powdersville; three brothers, Jack Carter, Norman Carter and Roy Carter, all of Greenville; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great,great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Farris Robinson, Jr. and Terry Wayne Robinson; a daughter, Mary Frances "Sally" Wilkie; five brothers, R.L. Carter, Arledge "Cooter" Carter, Morris "Red" Carter and Orville Carter and Pete Carter; a sister, Orthia Coleman; 3 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Powdersville First Baptist Church with the Reverend Brad Atkins and the Reverend Miles Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
